Restaurant Review...
McDonalds Vs. Arturo's
McDonalds:
McDonald, is good, not the healthiest food in the world ,but, almost everybody likes it. Their food in high in fatter than others, but, They make sure food is always hotter than in other places. Your service will be faster and friendlier, well not in all the mcdonals but in almost all of them. Every city, country or town you go, you can find a Mcdonald. All the Mcdonalds don't have the same service an prices because it changes in every
country. Here in Venezuela, is one of the most expesive fast food.
Arturo's:
Arturo's is really good, the chicken is spicy and well cooked. Here in Venezuela is one of the biggest companies of fast food people like because you can join the chicken with salad, bread and french fries. Also with a Marco Polo Icecream which are delicious. The service is not better than in other places but it is okay. Arturo's is more expensive than mcdonalds but the quantity is bigger. Find an Arturo's is not as easy as find a Macdonals but when you find it i'm sure that you are going to enjoy it.
My Favorite Dish: Lasagne
My favorite dish is Lasagne that is the popular italian food that in spanish we call Pasticho. This is a type of pasta, which has inside a mixture of meat, tomatoes sauce, cheese and also plantains; if you make the Venezuela version. I like it because it combines all the flavors in one dish: sweet, salty and spicy. You can eat Lasagne every time you want, but in Venezuela people make this in special ocations.
Rafael Reif, 17th president of MIT
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Wednesday named Rafael Reif, an electrical engineer born in Venezuela who has been the university's provost since 2005, as its 17th president. Reif, 61, replaces Susan Hockfield, the first female president of MIT, who announced in mid-February that she was stepping down after almost eight years leading one of the most prestigious universities in the United States. Reif will take up his post at the Cambridge, Massachusetts, university on July 2, the first MIT president not to be a native English speaker.
In his role as provost, the senior academic official at the university, Reif helped create and implement a strategy that allowed MIT to weather the global financial crisis, despite a large decline in its endowment, and drove the growth of the university overseas, from Abu Dhabi to Russia. He also led the development of MITx, the university's initiative in online learning, and pushed an effort to increase diversity among the university's faculty. He takes over at a time when many college graduates face crippling student debt and an uncertain job market, and when MIT is preparing to launch a major fundraising campaign and expand its online learning programs.
Reif is the youngest of four sons of emigres who fled Eastern Europe for Latin America in the late 1930s, living first in Ecuador and Colombia before settling in Venezuela. Reif's father worked as a photographer.
"I grew up in a home wealthy in integrity and principles and values, but poor in everything material," Reif said at a news conference to announce the appointment. Reif earned an undergraduate degree in engineering from Venezuela's Universidad de Carabobo in 1973. He gained a master's and PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University in California and joined MIT in 1980.
He was an early champion of the university's work in micro- and nanotechnology. He holds 15 patents, has won several teaching awards and has supervised 38 doctoral theses.
A leader in microelectronics
Reif is internationally recognized as a leading microelectronics researcher who has helped address the technical challenges that have arisen as electronics have grown ever-smaller in recent decades. He did pioneering work in and was an early proponent of three-dimensional integrated circuits, in which layers fabricated through different processes are stacked to form complex monolithic systems. Such an approach allows the integration of a variety of electronic functionalities into a smaller chip area.
Reif’s group has also worked to identify and develop environmentally benign alternatives to chemicals used to etch patterns on microchips; some gases used heavily by the semiconductor industry were believed to contribute to global warming. His team has worked to assess the etching efficacy of a variety of alternative compounds, measuring the effluents of these processes to determine their potential environmental, safety and health impacts
My memories : Good memories of high school...
I went to school at '' El Señor Jesucristo'' in Cabimas. My favorite subjects were Math and Biology. My favorite teacher was Clareth, she taught me that Math wasn't difficult She made our classes really dinamic and make that subject easier. My best friend in high school was Carlos Torres, he is such an amazing friend. We made everything together when we were in high school. One happy memory was when we made a gasoline-powered car for our physical class. This make me realize what i wanted to be , an electronic engineer.

People in my Life
In my life, there are so many people that are such an important part of it. In that mindmap I explain why some of them are important. Of course there isn't all the people that mean a lot to me because One mind map wouldn't be enough.
